Expression of Interest – Water and Wastewater Operations
Gwydir Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from motivated individuals who are interested in contributing to the delivery and maintenance of water and wastewater services to our communities.
We are looking for people who are:
- Passionate about supporting local communities
- Detail oriented and safety focused
- Practical problem solvers
- Reliable and initiative taking
- Keen to learn and develop their skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in water or sewer operations is highly regarded, but not essential – and it does not need to be extensive.
If you have any level of exposure or transferrable skills, we encourage you to get in touch with us.
This could include experience gained through:
- Local government or utilities work
- Civil construction or maintenance
- Plumbing, mechanical, electrical or trade backgrounds
- Farming or rural infrastructure operations
- Pump systems, pipelines, treatment systems, or related equipment
- General maintenance, labouring, or operational support roles
- Traineeship, apprenticeship or volunteer experience.
Council is interested to hear from individuals who are eager to contribute, willing to learn, and committed to helping deliver reliable essential services to our communities.
