Draft Local Housing Strategy
Council is placing its Draft Local Housing Strategy on public exhibition for 28 days, and we are inviting the community to review the document and provide feedback.
The Draft Local Housing Strategy sets out Council’s long-term plan to ensure our towns and villages have access to diverse, affordable and well-located housing that meets the needs of our growing and changing community. It identifies current and future housing needs, examines land supply and infrastructure capacity, and outlines actions to support sustainable development, liveability, and economic growth across the Local Government Area.
The Strategy will guide Council’s decision-making on land use planning, zoning, residential densities, and future development opportunities. Community input is an essential part of this process to ensure the final strategy reflects local aspirations, challenges, and opportunities.
