Fortnight Beginning 1 June 2026

Our teams have been busy across the Shire over the past fortnight, delivering road maintenance, construction progress, and essential water and sewer services. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been working on:

�� Road Construction & Rehabilitation - work on North Star Road continues, with a 2 km rehabilitation north of North Star now being prepared for bitumen sealing. On Croppa Creek Road, crews are in the final stages of the 23 km reconstruction, with formation and surface works nearing completion.

��️ Grading Works - graders have been active across multiple routes, including Bora Link, Killarney Gap, Wallangra, Warialda, North Star, Bruxner Way, Adam Scrub, Elcombe, and Baroma Downs Roads.

��️ Bitumen – jetpatching crews have carried out surface repairs on Gulf Creek, Gragin, McIntyre Gulf Creek, Warialda, North Star, Baroma Downs, Delungra, Yallaroi, Coppa Moree, Bora Link, and Croppa Creek Roads, along with various town streets.

�� The Water and Sewer Operations - our team focused on meter reading this fortnight, supported by routine maintenance across the region. Crews completed weekly pool pump checks, carried out electrical work on the chlorine solenoid, and maintained the water plant grounds. Additional tasks included repairing a stop valve, fixing shower taps at Whitfeld Place, relocating tables at Cunningham Park, completing four service line repairs, clearing three sewer blockages in Warialda, and installing a new water connection in Gravesend.

�� Level 3 water restrictions remain in place for North Star, Warialda and Gravesend.
