Warialda Rail Landfill Access and Terms of Use

Location: Allan Cunningham Road (MR63), Bingara Road, Warialda Rail, NSW - 2402

Access:

  • For residents and ratepayers in the identified catchment area only.
  • Access code required for entry.
  • Contact the office during business hours for an access code.

Terms of Use:

  • Facility for Gwydir Shire ratepayers and residents only. Unauthorized use will be prosecuted.
  • Do not share your access code.
  • Sort waste into designated areas: metal, green waste, timber, offal/dead animal pit, mattresses and lounges, general waste, bricks and cement/rubble.
  • Place rubbish as far back as possible to maximize space.
  • No asbestos, chemical waste, chemical drums, liquid waste, petroleum or oil products, scavenging, commercial waste, smoking, or lighting fires.
  • Access during daylight hours only.
  • Dispose of only your waste.
  • Notify Council if moving or renting your property or if there are issues at the site.
  • Follow directions from staff and signage.
  • Centre may close during wet weather, emergencies, or poor visibility.
  • Enclosed footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Penalties exceeding $200 for non-compliance.

Prohibited Items and Disposal Locations:

  • Asbestos: Disposal available at Warialda & Bingara Landfills.
  • Tyres: Disposal available at Warialda, Bingara, and Croppa Creek Landfills.
  • Chemical Waste: Dispose at Annual Household Chemical Collection events.
  • Chemical Drums: DrumMuster available at Warialda, Bingara, and Croppa Creek Landfills (bookings essential).
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Clinical Waste
  • Liquid Waste

Additional Notes:

  • Visitors must obey signs and directions from staff.
  • No scavenging or removal of materials.
  • Children, animals, and pets must remain in vehicles.
  • Help keep the facilities tidy to avoid increased disposal charges.
