For access to this landfill, please visit one of our Council offices with a completed Gravesend Landfill Terms of Use Agreement Form(PDF, 76KB)  form and proof of address. Alternatively, email the completed form and a copy of your drivers licence or a utilities notice showing the property address to mail@gwydir.nsw.gov.au.

THIS FACILITY IS FOR THE USE OF GWYDIR SHIRE RATE PAYERS AND RESIDENTS ONLY. OTHERS FOUND USING THE FACILITY WILL BE PROSECUTED.

As a resident or ratepayer with access to the Gravesend Landfill is subject to the following terms of use for the Gravesend Landfill Waste facility.
Failure to adhere to the terms of use may cause your access to be suspended or revoked.

  • To not share or give out the access code to persons that do not reside at the property.
  • Only disposing of waste from the property nominated in this agreement.
  • Sorting and depositing waste into the designated signed areas at the landfill site
  • No tyres (Disposal available at Warialda and Bingara Landfills).
  • No commercial waste.
  • No asbestos (Disposal available at Warialda and Bingara Landfills).
  • No chemical waste (Dispose at Household Chemical collection events at Warialda and Bingara Landfills).
  • No chemical drums (DrumMuster available at Warialda and Bingara Landfills).
  • No liquid waste.
  • No petroleum or oil products (Disposal available at Warialda and Bingara Landfills).
  • Placing waste items as far back into the areas as practicable to maximise the available space at the site.
  • No scavenging.
  • Access during daylight hours only.
  • No tailgating through the gates.
  • Advising Council of any issues at the Landfill site.
  • Follow directions on signage at the site.
  • Follow directions given by staff on the site.
  • No smoking, naked flames, or lighting fires.
  • I understand that the facility is under CCTV surveillance.
  • Advise Council if you are moving or renting your property.

Residents are reminded that the centre may be closed during and as a result of wet weather, emergencies or poor visibility.

Your assistance in sorting waste and recyclables and disposing of them in the nominated areas.

Please follow all signs and directions from staff.

  • NO LIQUID WASTE
  • Visitors must obey signs and/or directions from staff
  • Scavenging, entry onto waste piles or removal of materials is not permitted
  • Children, animals and pets must remain in vehicles at all times
  • Enclosed footwear must be worn at all times

Penalties exceeding $200 may apply for non-compliance with site entry conditions.

Council asks all users to help keep the facilities tidy as additional clean-ups will result in increased waste disposal charges.
