Draft Community Participation Plan

Gwydir Shire Council’s Community Participation Plan outlines how and when the community can have a say in planning matters that affect the Shire. It sets out Council’s approach to community engagement for development applications, strategic planning documents, and other planning proposals. The CPP ensures transparency, consistency, and meaningful opportunities for public input in line with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

The draft CPP is now on public exhibition. Community members are invited to review the document and provide written submissions during the exhibition period. All submissions received by the closing date will be considered before the Plan is finalised and adopted.
