Public Display - Draft Local Housing Strategy

The Draft Local Housing Strategy (LHS) will set a clear plan for housing within the Gwydir Shire over the next 20 years. The LHS is based on the data in the Housing Needs Assessment (HNA) and Community surveys and other council, and regional, policy and strategy documents. The LHS identifies housing needs and the capacity to accommodate population growth and that growing population’s needs. It also identifies potential areas and types of housing needed. It outlines and prioritises 13 strategies to support the delivery of housing within the Gwydir Shire over the next 20 years and to achieve the housing vision and objectives outlined in the LHS.

The below two Draft LHS documents will be on public display for 28 days from Thursday 2 May 2024 to Thursday 30 May 2024.
